Bystander Intervention Training

ICA’s Bystander Intervention Training is a two-part module that is for individuals who want to move beyond silence, and be active bystanders when they see instances of racism or discrimination. Our Bystander Intervention Training is for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Tools for Equity

ICA’s Tools for Equity training program for businesses and organizations, addresses racial disparities and employment barriers faced by immigrants, refugees, and communities of colour in the Capital Regional District.

The tools in this training can be used for any instances needing an active bystander and are relevant for intervention during discrimination on the grounds of race, disability, gender, nationality, class and age, and more. Participants will begin to recognize ways they can use practical anti-racism tools to support Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour in their communities.

Note: Although the Bystander program can be taken as a standalone training session by organizations/community members, it is also part of our larger Tools for Equity Program and we highly encourage all organizations to take the full program if we are to have any hope of creating sustainable systemic change.

Our Bystander Program is RIGHT for you if:
  • You would like to learn practical ways to support Black, Indigenous and People of Colour in your community, school, workplace etc.

And, if your group or organization;
